Great vision, that’s what it takes to refuse to rest on previous success and instead focus on what you need to become in the future, which is exactly what Lodi, California’s A Skylit Drive continues to achieve with every album. Bursting into the scene in 2007, vocalist Michael “Jag” Jagmin, guitarist Nick Miller and bassist Kyle Simmons set out to make an impression on the scene with their first EP She Watched The Sky. After the success of the EP, they followed up with three full-length albums, Wires and the Concept of Breathing, Adelphia and Identity on Fire, which all charted on the Billboard Top 200 chart. Along with releasing new material, the band was also featured on well known compilation CDs, Punk Goes Classic Rock and Punk Goes Pop Vol. 4. In 2013 the band released their 4th full length album Rise and then went back to the studio to release an acoustic re-imagining of the music, Rise: Ascension, in 2015. A Skylit Drive as toured extensively with artist like Blessthefall, Sleeping With Sirens, Pierce the Veil and Of Mice & Men. They have also made appearances on the Vans Warped Tour and The All Stars Tour. Even with ups and downs as a band, A Skylit Drive shows no signs of stopping. 2015 brought the addition of two members, drummer Brandon “Rage” Richter and guitarist/screamer Michael Labelle. The new line-up headed to Adelaide Studios in North Carolina to record their upcoming self titled album due out on October 9. A Skylit Drive’s musical resume would be enough of a career for most bands, but they have no intentions of slowing down. In fact, the band believes they are just hitting their stride.
