Colin Date was born and raised in Toronto, Canada. There he worked in the advertising and marketing field, primarily in the retail packaged goods industry. After relocating to Oregon in 1994, Colin became involved in the automotive publishing realm, writing and shooting numerous features for magazines such as Chevy High Performance, Mustang Monthly, Mopar Muscle, and Muscle Car Review. He is the editor of Legendary Ford Magazine.
