Patricia settles in with Monica, and soon becomes the object of desire for 2 men - teacher Robert Foxley, and Danny Sullivan (Timothy Bottoms), a romantic American writer. When Danny's wife is murdered by a serial killer, Patricia withholds information from the police that might have led them to suspect him. She is soon plunged into a world of fear, and her only consolation is that she is being protected by the police, especially the suave Inspector McMyler (Christopher Cazenove). Motivated by fantasies of female innocence, the killer become besotted by Patricia who, discovering the killer's identity, tries to escape in a shocking conclusion!
